Our client, a major financial institution based in the heart of Downtown Toronto is expanding its team to include a
Manager, Middle Office Strategy Implementation Support
for its
Treasury and Balance Sheet Management Team.
This Manager role is to be responsible for supporting the timely and effective implementation of new hedging strategies. Detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis, coordination, and documentation are key components involved with this position. The interplay between hedging, accounting, and transfer pricing must be clearly understood, explained and supported by transparent reporting.
Specific responsibilities involved for the Manager, Middle Office Strategy Implementation Support will include:
- Leading the implementation of new hedge accounting strategies;
- Performing detailed analysis on hedging structures in order to test their performance;
- Developing new PL attribution reporting;
- Developing detailed documentation for all new and existing strategies;
- Defining all the required reporting in order to capture all differences between hedging, accounting and transfer pricing.
Qualifications:
Candidates to meet consideration will be designated as a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst and/or Certified Management Accountant with solid familiarity with Financial Instruments as well as Hedge Accounting (IAS 39), ALM (Asset Liability Management) concepts. Excellent project management, analytical, problem-resolution and consensus building skills are important. A background in Mathematics or Computer Science would be beneficial.
