Position Summary Position Summary The Manager for Mobile Strategy Analytics will work closely with Walmart?s Mobile strategy team and Mobile product team to drive our business and product decisions worldwide. The candidate will provide mission critical analysis on the performance of our products and businesses in order to shape our mobile strategy, thus heavily influencing our business growth trajectory. This role leverages a deep fluency in quantitative analysis with a passion for using data to communicate and drive financial and product decisions. This role encompasses all of that. Position Description Position Description 1. Business and Product Analysis (50%) ? Deliver high quality analytical insights that synthesize data analysis, research and hypothesis testing into key findings and actionable recommendations. You will be given access to immense amounts of real-time mobile consumer and product data across our cutting edge mobile web, smartphone app and tablet platforms. This market data will drive your conclusions which in turn will increase revenues by improving our customers? mobile experiences. Your conclusions will become our business strategy. ? Perform market analysis on our customers? behaviors and engagement with our product. This includes identifying trends and growth opportunities; identifying strategic gaps in the market and researching opportunities to address these gaps. Present ideas and findings to the mobile product team for further development. ? Create plans and analyses from large amounts of data in Excel and possibly SQL. A high level of skill with complex formulas, pivot tables, graphs/charts/tables, etc. is recommended. Some statistics background is preferred. 2. Business Reporting (25%) ? Responsible for aggregating, analyzing and reporting the product performance of Walmart?s mobile businesses worldwide. This will require gathering and reporting key metrics including consumer reach, engagement and revenue. With this business data, many ad hoc analyzes will be performed to support decision making. The position will also be responsible for important financial analysis and aid in the forecasting and business planning. ? Generate performance reports for internal use that encompass financial reporting as well as product performance, creating and updating financial presentations and other performance materials as required. ? Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring presentation content, packaging, and that all elements meet requested specifications. 3. Mobile Business Management (25%) ? We touch our customers through a number of mobile platforms (Android, iPhone, mobile Web, tablets) and have a variety of operational processes that engage those customers by marketing and merchandising our products on smartphones. Your role would be to own and continually improve a number of those efforts within marketing and merchandising.
