We are currently seeking talented Manager Modeling Analytics for our San Antonio, TX facility.

PURPOSE OF JOB
Manages a team responsible for utilizing predictive analytics to solve business problems for business units across the Enterprise. Monitors, assesses, and reports on various modeling projects and requests. Builds enterprise partnerships to incorporate predictive analytics into business decision processes and implement results.

JOB DUTIES

·                                 Manages a team of modeling analysts responsible for developing and implementing statistical models relevant to the support and improvement of business efficiencies. Utilizes predictive analytics to assess future risk, opportunities, and effectiveness.

·                                 Understands loss performance models and oversees refinements to adjust to various changes in portfolio/economic conditions/business policy.

·                                 Presents analysis to senior management in a clear, concise and actionable format and develop plans and recommendations for mitigation strategies and tactics. Works with Executive leadership to determine optimal business solutions in managing business portfolios.

·                                 Manages and is accountable for the work of high level individual contributors. Establishes performance expectations and provides feedback, coaching, and career counseling for direct reports and matrixed team members (e.g., project team members, peer partners). Represents company and participates in cross-company teams.

Minimum Requirements

·                                 Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Actuarial Sciences or a related field.

·                                 5+ years relevant data modeling, quantitative, analytical, or actuarial work experience.

·                                 1+ years managerial experience or experience working with cross-functional teams in a leadership capacity.

·                                 Proficiency in key econometric and statistical techniques (predictive modeling, logistic regression, survival analysis, design of experiments, decision trees, data mining methods, and other advanced statistical and econometric techniques, Finance/treasury modeling).

Preferred

·                                 Strong experience and knowledge on bank finance, treasury and/or operations risk related models.

·                                 Experience and knowledge on Basel models (PD, LGD and EAD, RWA), loss forecasting and stress testing models would be a significant plus.

·                                 Experience in bank model independent review and validation.

·                                 Knowledge about bank model regulations and governance.

·                                 CFA, MBA or PhD in Finance.

·                                 Experience in managing a team of modeling/ quantitative analysts.

·                                 Strong communication, inter-personal relationship and critical thinking skills.

Manager Comments:
This position will be within the Bank Model Governance and Independent Validation area. It will have opportunities to validate various bank models including credit risk, finance, treasury, operations risk, fraud and ALM, and marketing models. The manager will be managing a team of highly qualified modeling analysts as well as external vendors.

***Selected candidates will attend and complete the Management Development School program in San Antonio, TX, during their first six months in position.***
