Responsibilities
The Role:
To supervise a diverse and ambitious team of between 4-7 Financial Data Analysts (FDAs) responsible for capturing and presenting financial data on global Financial Institutions and Insurance entities. Proactively manage the workload and development of FDAs in line with business plans, and assist in the promotion of new project work where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational supervision of one of the Financial Data Analyst (FDA) teams based in New York in order to meet and exceed business plans including Service Level Agreements;
- Mentor and develop the professional aspirations of the FDA team;
- Become a Subject Matter Expert in process, tools and relevant accounting principles;
- Assist in the capture and analysis of SLA and workload data;
- Accommodate requirement of FDA resources in the IT requirement gathering processes and UAT;
- Encourage participation in, and pursue special projects as they arise.
Qualifications
Education
- BA or MA (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance preferred
Required Skills:
Experience
- Previous experience as Team Lead or Supervisor of a small team
- Experience in Accounting or Finance with understanding of financial statements.
Technical
- Computer literate with a strong knowledge of Excel
- MS Office Suite
- MS Visio Project experience would be useful
- Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills
- Good interpersonal skills

- Highly organised and efficient
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work pro-actively and multi-task
- Work using own initiative and without close supervision
Additional Skills
- Language skills in addition to fluent English, in particular Portuguese, is an advantage
