Manager of Operational Internal Audit (Commercial Banking) recruitment
Our client is looking to strengthen and enlarge its Internal Audit coverage and service level to complement the increased volume and activity level within the front office based operations and services. With a reporting line to the Chief Audit Officer, this role will take ownership and management of a team of Internal Auditors, whose duties and coverage are designed within a functional based structure; whereby specific business areas and product ranges are controlled and reviewed. This role will take responsibility for and support the overall audit assignment and plan across the banking operations; to assess, manage and mitigate areas of risk and control weakness. Whilst also enhancing control and compliance regulations across all areas of the business to strengthen governance and accountability.
• The function of this role is to ensure that the assigned audit assignments are implemented on time, throughout the year, and that all issues, risks and observations are thoroughly documented and audit recommendations are followed-up for implementation.
• Evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management and internal controls across the Bank’s operations and processes; front to back office.
• Applying best practice internal control solutions from within the Banking industry; whilst recommending effective improvement actions to limit risk and to maintain Bank profitability
• Ensure compliance and actions on the weaknesses reported and prepare report on the outstanding issues, to ensure all policy recommendations and change are implemented and adhered to.
• Keep informed about best practice, regulatory changes and current developments in Internal Auditing standards and banking environment.
Our client will look to identify a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) or a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), whom can demonstrate up to seven years experience within a financial services environment, ideally within a GCC based institution. The client will also look to recruit a candidate whom is analytical and control focused in their mindset and operational executions, whilst also possessing a capability to manage, influence and determine decisions and planning activities.
