 Manager of Payment Networks, Layaway, and Gift Card Programs

The role of the Manager, Payment Networks/ Layaway/ Gift Cards is to manage the contractual relationships with each of the corporation’s Payment Networks, the internal or external partners and processes supporting the corporation’s Layaway offerings, and the contractual relationships and processes surrounding the corporation’s Gift Card offerings. The primary goal of this role is to maximize the sales of the corporation’s merchandise and services through these payment options while minimizing the corporation’s cost of tender.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Relationship Management:
- Manage and maximize benefits from our Merchant Acquirer, Payment Network, and Stored Value Relationships
- Monitor Health of Merchant Experience (E.G., Processing, Disputes, Fraud)
-Negotiating and monitoring all Contracts within area of responsibility
-Actively monitor and manage card acceptance practices with the goal of minimizing interchange and charge-back expenses
- Manage Fee-Based  Projects (E.G., Merchant-Specific Reports On Customer Behavior or Other Analytical Services) in partnership with various Payment Networks and the corporation’s Consumer Insights and Real Estate groups

Sales:

- Drive Expansion Of New Card type Acceptance With Issuers / Networks who are of strategic value to Zale Corporation
- Revise and refine in cooperation with internal and external Partners the corporation’s Layaway product offerings to maximize sales and revenue recognition while minimizing the inventory impact of the program(s)
- Develop and work with Internal Partners To Execute Business Building Programs and joint marketing initiatives with various card networks / issuers
- Develop and work with internal and external Partners to execute a comprehensive Gift Card Sales and Redemption strategy for the corporation

Compliance
:
- Monitor and participate in projects related to PCI and EMV
- Proactively Address Potential Regulatory Changes in concert with IT, Legal and other internal stakeholders.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Bachelors Degree Required

· 5-8 years Successful Sales / Relationship Management or Business Development Experience Required

· Previous Merchants acquirer experience required.
