Job Purpose of Manager of Purchasing:
To be responsible for the procurement of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operating Supplies) and Construction Materials through the development and implementation of procurement strategies, policies and the management of supplier relationships. Other areas of responsibility shall include price negotiations, planning, quality control and tracking of market trends.
Key Responsibilities of Manager of Purchasing:
· Implement procurement strategies and policies.
· Create and implement key performance indicators.
· Continually develop expertise to support growth for added properties and new projects.
· Monitor macro trends in supplier and contract base and implement purchasing plans to react.
· Build, develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and customers to create effective partnerships.
· Identify and develop training opportunities.
· Track purchasing activity and measurements.
· Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with users, suppliers and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action.
· Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost effective way.
· Maintain procurement files
Job Qualifications:
· Must have minimum of BA or BS degree in a Business related field
· Must have 5-7 years of Purchasing Experience.
· Require MRO/Construction Purchasing Experience
