Manager Of Risk Infrastructure

An Energy Major with strong power and gas portfolios is recruiting for an an opportunity to become a Senior Manager of Internal Risk Control, with a particular focus on market and credit risk. You will be at a level of seniority that commands 3 managers reporting directly into you covering areas including risk modelling, internal control and governance. It is expected that applicants should have experience of these areas, plus strong managerial skills gained directly or in a Programme Manager capacity. Your will be utilising the analytics and reports provided to you by your staff in order to provide recommendations and change to the heads of the department , internal committees and stakeholders on continually adapting risk methodologies and policies to be ahead of the curve on market changes. This is therefore a high-profile internal position which will allow you a great opportunity to develop ownership and have a real impact upon Risk Control strategy.

Further to this, candidates will be expected to influence, guide and challenge senior managers and stakeholders to appropriately consider the impact of business change on the risk control framework, and therefore directly improve the quality of commercial decision making. This gives you fantastic exposure to the workings of an energy major. This is a project based role with multiple projects and deadlines on the go at any one time - experience of a project management environment is ideal.
