Manager of Trade Capture and Risk Technology
This role is part of a front office IT team supporting Rates Derivatives trade capture system and risk flow (TPS). The team's primary focus is providing application support for the USD Swap Trading Desk and their trade flow.
Duties include:
- Provide support for mission-critical trade capture system.
- Support all aspects of Derivatives trade and risk flows including trader-sales matching, Markitwire, SDR reporting
- Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover
- Perform T+0 risk reconciliations for the USD Swaps desk
- Own and manage the incident response process. Must be able to escalate problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while adhering to Service Level Agreements
- Application monitoring as well as the underlying infrastructure
- Develop and maintain technical support documentation
- Act as a liaison between users/traders, various internal technology groups and vendors.
- Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production.
- Perform post release testing after application releases and infrastructure updates.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of providing support of Trade Capture and Risk Management systems and trader communities within Rates Flow and Derivatives
- Previous experience of electronic markets and straight through processing.
- Experience supporting both Front and Middle Office users.
- Good understanding of US Treasuries and Interest Rate Swaps, in particular risk calculations.
- In depth knowledge of derivatives trade workflow.
- Experience with Markitwire
- Good Linux knowledge and practical usage. (Able to navigate the system and know the core administration functions)
- Experience with Messaging Technologies (TIBCO EMS a plus)
- Experience with real-time monitoring systems such as ITRS Netagent (Geneos)
- Good Sybase SQL knowledge and practical usage. (Able to create ad hoc SQL queries)
- Job scheduling tool such as Autosys
- Good all-round PC skills. (Windows OS / Networks / General Hardware)
- Strong analytical skills attention to detail
