Manager, Operations and Risk
Institutional Banking Markets (IBM) is responsible for the provision of products and services to nearly 3000 major corporate, institutional and government clients. This is achieved through origination, structuring and execution of on and off balance sheet products that are enhanced through the efficient application of taxation, accounting, risk and capital management technologies. Institutional Banking Markets is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions for the Bank's corporate and government clients.
Corporate Banking Solutions (CBS) delivers dynamic banking solutions to improve our clients' businesses and support Australia's economic development. CBS is responsible for significant revenue in both BPB and IBM. Our goals are:

The CBS Strategy and Risk team is responsible for supporting the CBS EGM and Leadership team in areas of Strategy, Innovation, Productivity and Risk.
Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to drive strong operational management of the CBS business.
Key Accountabilities:
Operational and risk management:
- Ensure that CBS leadership has a comprehensive view of material current and emerging issues (eg, group policies and practices such as BCP, 3LOD, regulatory change).
- Establish and maintain CBS-level plans to address these issues.
- Work with line of business managers on agreed activities to strengthen the business.
- Work with line of business managers to resolve ad-hoc operational incidents, as required (eg, service outages, frauds, complaints).
- Lead operational projects across CBS.
Relationship Management:
- Build strong, collaborative and value driven relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.
- Represent CBS in working groups and steering groups as required.
- Co-ordination across business units and CBS segments on operational and risk issues.
Leadership and Team:
- Be a proactive member of the Strategy and Risk and COO teams, including driving the team culture, cross skilling and supporting other team members.
- Proactively drive and represent CBA and CBS vision, values, goals and capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
- CAN, innovative attitude.
- Solution focused.
- Understanding of risk and operational issues
- Strong interest in financial services and technology innovation, experience in driving innovation preferred.
- Experience and qualifications in driving productivity programs.
- Ability to build strong, collaborative, professional and valuable relationships at all levels and with virtual teams.
- An active team player, experienced in building team culture, recognizing and actively supporting others, with a positive attitude to situations requiring flexibility and adaptability.
- Highly organised, efficient and self-motivated with a proactive, positive attitude, ability to multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of drivers in the financial services market preferred.
