Manager, Operations Capital Markets
As a leader of a multi-faceted / multi-disciplined operations group, you will manage processes across a wide variety of products and services.
You will manage the settlement functions across the business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This is a highly visible role dealing with front office, relationship managers, clients and service teams.
You will be responsible for the operating budget, delivering business objectives, developing strategy and vision for the overall function. In addition you will implement best practices, set standards, implement new processes and identify continued service delivery efficiencies.
As a strong people leader, you will coach and develop your teams, including Managers who are themselves upwardly mobile. Continue to build this highly effective and productive team, subject matter experts in Operations within a broad financial instruments product environment (FX, Derivatives, Options, Money Markets).
Required skills:
- Undergrad degree, with additional relevant education which could include, Accounting Designation, CSC qualification etc.
- 10 years+ leadership experience from the Capital Markets industry, managing an Operations function, ideally focused on Settlements. Broad based financial instruments product knowledge.
- Exceptional people management expertise, with a coaching/development style, having ideally managing Managers previously.
- Demonstrated experience developing strategies to move Operations forward, including responsibilities for budgeting and delivering business objectives, process improvements and constantly strive for service excellence.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deal with Executives, front office and other internal and external stakeholders.
