As a Manager in the team you'll develop your leadership capabilities by effectively managing teams for the delivery of client work whilst also playing an active role in the career development of more junior team members.
Within our wider Operations team, our Operations Excellence practice focuses on the full life cycle of operations transformation: from Target Operating Model design; through to operations transformation, including process reengineering and operational performance improvement.
Practitioners have experience of business models, operating processes and performance measurement/management in at least one of the TMT industry sectors i.e.
- Telecommunications (fixed, mobile, ISP)
- Media (advertising, broadcast, publishing, music, entertainment, gaming)
- Technology (equipment manufacturing, software, hardware, services)
Practitioners also have a deep understanding of the increasing interdependencies between all three sectors due to the accelerating pace of 'convergence' and how this dynamic is driving the development of new operating models.
A position is currently available for an individual who can:
- Understand and anticipate client needs based on a strong understanding of the TMT marketplace, including opportunities and competitor activities
- Guide teams in selecting and applying the most appropriate tools, techniques, and approaches to understand the client's issues and opportunities
- Undertake a strategic and advisory role in the design of Operating Models and process improvement for TMT clients
- Integrate recommendations into a total solution for the client that is consistent with the corporate or project strategy
Assignments will be focused on:
- Operating model assessment and design/redesign for new entrant and established TMT businesses
- Performance improvement and process redesign as part of significant change programmes
- Tactical and strategic cost reduction
To be successful in the role, you will have
- Telecommunications, Media or Technology industry knowledge
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Degree qualified or equivalent qualification or experience
- Relevant experience within major TMT businesses or a consulting firm, preferably involved in operating model design from business strategy and process improvement either as part of significant strategic transformation programmes or as part of new technology initiatives
- Knowledge of operating models and key operational business processes (e.g. provisioning and assurance)
- Ability to liaise effectively with clients and gain client trust.
- Familiarity with core IT systems, how they support business operations and enable change
- Experience of formal project management techniques (budgeting, planning, risk management)
- Leadership and team building skills
- Knowledge of methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, BPR techniques and implementation methodologies will be useful
