Manager or Senior Manager – Risk Advisory
The team advises financial institutions, predominantly banks, on a wide range of risk areas (listed below).
While these teams provide subject matter expertise and advisory services they are also involved in the implementation of the solutions they provide making the work both challenging and varied.
- Enterprise Risk Management
- Operational risk management framework
- Risk governance
- Risk appetite framework
- Policy framework
- Credit risk management framework
- Market risk management framework
- Reporting and infrastructure
- Stress testing
- Capital management – ICAAP / ILAA
- Risk culture
Suitable candidates will come from consulting or banking backgrounds. As a guide, manager level candidates should have a strong knowledge of and an interest in at least two of the risk areas listed above. At Senior Manager level the expectation is three.
Consulting as a career path is becoming increasingly popular with industry professionals who want to spend two or three years expanding their network, developing expertise in their field and working in a more client facing environment. After two to three years consultants typically either return to industry – with a significantly larger network and very well developed commercial skills – or choose to pursue the partner route within consulting.
Manager salaries arrange from £60k - £80k
Senior Manager salaries range from £80 - £100k.
