Manager, PL Global Prime Finance

Our client, a major institution in the heart of Downtown Toronto, is actively recruiting for a Manager, PL Global Prime Finance to join its Business Unit Control Group.

The Manager, PL Global Prime Finance will play a key role in the maintenance of an efficient and effective control environment for our client's Synthetic Prime Brokerage products.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

As a main liaison for the assigned Books, the Manager will play a key role in facilitating new products/business in a controlled manner and actively engaging in requests for support, analysis and information from various constituents including the Front Office, Risk Management, Operations, Finance, Audit and Regulators.

The Synthetic Prime Brokerage is a complex business employing multiple products supported across multiple processing systems, multiple exchanges and spanning various bank legal entities. The primary product offerings include dynamic portfolio swaps referenced to equity, fixed income and hybrid products such as convertible bonds. The incumbent must have the experience required to establish expert knowledge of the business profit model and the ability to deliver accurate PL and Decomposition/Analysis for the assigned books.

Qualifications:

Candidates to meet consideration will have an understanding of synthetic prime brokerage, particularly portfolio swaps and convertible bonds. You will have experience with PL construction and attribution, and IPV process around convertibles. Additional skill sets and experience would include:

The successful candidate will have leadership ability, will be self-motivated, and will be able to operate in a back-up capacity to the Senior Manager.
