Manager, Portfolio Performance Analytics (Investment Management) recruitment
This investor focused team is responsible for analyzing and evaluating portfolio performance for institutional investors as well as providing insight to the C-level in regards to portfolio performance across all portfolios (all strategies, global markets, instruments, and asset classes). This team also researches and answers numerous investor questions surrounding portfolio performance and allocation. This team is not only responsible for understanding how the markets performed and why they performed the way they did, but to intelligently translate these movements into transparent, detailed, and highly effective reports that educate the investor on their portfolio performance and allocation. This team must understand company strategies, global markets, all financial instruments, and portfolio construction to perform their positions with precision.

The manager of this team is responsible for:
- Managing, mentoring, developing, and leading a team of 10 – 12 individuals; establishing clear goals and metrics to ensure excellence, and creatively removing obstacles that stand in the way of the team success.
- Continuously creating new, and advancing existing team processes, procedures, and technology to improve the overall transparency, efficiency, and content of the reporting process and other team responsibilities and processes.

PLEASE NOTE: this is a not a senior management or director level position. Highly prefer candidates that have up to 15 years "total" work experience for this position given the position's management level.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- SORRY - there is no sponsorship or visa transfer available for this position now or in the future.
- Degree from a top tier university preferred with a highly competitive GPA and strong quantitative skills. Prefer candidates with MBA’s or other quantitatively focused Masters degrees.
- 2 to a maximum of 5 years' full cycle staff management experience managing teams of 4 or more individuals. (hiring, coaching, mentoring, termination). Must be directly managing a team of direct reports that do not change (vs.) managing teams in a consulting capacity where the teams change depending on the project.
- 1 or more year's experience managing small to mid-sized projects with preferably some technology focus. Experience managing projects within the department managed is ideal vs. project management in a consulting capacity.
- 2 to a maximum of 15 years' experience in finance, investment management, investment banking, or consulting with a solid understanding of the markets and most major financial instruments. We will also consider those candidates in management positions that currently work at companies that customize, sell and support portfolio performance, portfolio management, performance allocation software.
- Process management: experience building, running, and constantly ensuring efficiency of business processes. Six Sigma, TQM, balances Scorecard experience ideal, but not required.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required; SharePoint or SSRS (SQL Server Report Generation Software) experience ideal.
- Must be an exceptionally quick, big picture thinker that is able to deal with ambiguity.
