The Company
Our Client is a global asset management firm.
The Role
You will establish the finance and accounting team, processes, policies and infrastructure, perform duties relating to all investment, fund and management company accounting. You will also develop, enhance, and implement the strategies, procedures, process work flows, and infrastructure of fund accounting functions. You will reconcile positions and cash management on a daily basis, uphold valuation methodology, manage foreign currency exposure, margining, leverage and funding. You will manage the generation of accurate daily / monthly NAVs, management reports, financial statements / forecasts, tax return filings, K-1s, etc.
You will work with advisors to devise tax efficient strategies, evaluate fund's overall financial needs and creating the annual budget and scrutiny of fund expenses. You will also work with external service providers including prime brokers, fund administrator, auditors.
Your Profile
You possess at least 10 years work experience in asset management, at least 4 - 5 should be with hedge funds. Prior Private Equity fund startup experience preferred. You must possess knowledge of range of asset classes and knowledge of finance and accounting. You are a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
