Manager (Processes), New Business Team recruitment
The New Business Team ensures a timely and high-quality delivery of new business approvals in order to enable quick reaction to market opportunities. It does this by coordinating, enforcing and constantly improving the New Business Approval Process (NBAP) working closely with all departments and teams involved.
The Manager (Processes) is responsible for the coordination, monitoring and execution of the New Business Approval Process, which relates to new products to be implemented, working closely with all involved departments and teams. The Manager (Projects) will provide guidance to other (junior) members of the team on business-related topics.
Principal Accountabilities and Activities:
- Coordinate and manage New Business Approval Process (NBAP) within New Business Team
- Coordinate and manage the New Business Approval Process, cross the relevant support function, cross location approval processes etc.
- Provide related reporting and statistics
- Maintain process ownership for all Risk processes within the New Business Team not directly related to reporting
- Provide/establish clear documentation on global processes within New Business Team
- Other tasks which need an approach beyond the local offices
- Project work for small and larger projects
Education Qualification:
Degree level or equivalent, preferably in the field of Business Administration, Economics, Maths, Science, or closely related.
Competencies and Technical Skills:
The post holder should demonstrate the following competencies and technical skills:
- Previous exposure and knowledge ideally gained within the Risk Controlling/Financial Reporting environment of an Energy Trading Company/Utility or an Investment Bank
- Strong experience of taking the lead in process management.
- Understanding/exposure of a commodity trading business, energy markets and/or market risk methodologies would be an advantage
- Strong Excel and database skills
- Strong leadership skills, including ability to engage, motivate and enhance the delivery of teams you have been responsible for.
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management across all levels of the organisation. High standards of communication appropriate for the senior levels of the business.
- Excellent ability to engage and motivate others through personal style and impact. Evidence of achieving this in cross-cultural and multi-location complex environments.
- Confident with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organise workload whilst under pressure and working to tight timescales
- An adaptable approach to work, seeking to make continuous improvements to existing processes
- Evidence of consistent delivery of excellent quality outputs on time and in a complex, preferably international, and pressurised environment. Evidence of consistently setting high standards for self and others.
- Highly structured in approach and quantitative and qualitative analysis of issues. Demonstrable evidence of exploring and breaking down complex issues and concepts into component parts, and managing delivery of the full range of elements to all levels of requisite detail.
- Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory. An ability to write and speak another European is desirable.
