This position is responsible for the review, analysis and tracking of new product costs. Identify variances from forecast and the project plan. Communicate causals to the project team, operations, business units and senior management.

Prepare and coordinate the analysis and presentation of the product costs, periodic performance reviews and all other ad-hoc analytical requirements. Based upon analysis, provide recommendations to leadership and the new product project teams to improve performance.
Collaborate with the Manufacturing and Strategy organization to develop global manufacturing models to analyze potential costs variances due to location.

Assist in the development of consistent plant financial processes that can be utilized across the Operations Engineering Services (OES) organization. Determine methodology and a plan for developing financial factory burden models that assist with the introduction of new products. Partner with regional finance leadership, as necessary, to develop and implement roles and responsibilities for regional and OES finance costing models

Work with operations to identify, implement and quantify productivity programs related to new products. Review productivity and Six Sigma/Lean projects to assure accurate reporting of savings.

Work with operations to accurately forecast inventory levels and assist in developing and implementing new product project programs to achieve operations inventory goals.
Work with Purchasing and SSO to identify, analyze, and develop a strategy to execute cost savings opportunities through a sourcing strategy for new product programs.
Influence cross-functional strategic sourcing teams (made up of Commodity Project Managers, Purchasing Managers, Engineers, Operations Managers, Quality Managers and Marketing Managers), accountable for execution and implementation of the sourcing strategies within all business units for new product programs.

Assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPI's) for new products as they relate to manufacturing and operations. Report on the KPI’s.

BS in Engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge.

Minimum 10 years experience in related processes.

New product development experience related to the materials and manufacture of products.

Accounting experience is desired with a Financial Planning or General Accounting emphasis. A manufacturing finance background is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work interactively across the enterprise and with the business units, segments, other functions and regions worldwide.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization. Strong quantitative and analytic skills.

Ability to collect, analyze and disseminate complex data sets. Must be proficient in EXCEL. Access or other database management skills desired.
