Principal Accountabilities:
Key Responsibilities of the Director role include:
Manage day to day vendor relationships w/in key category
Monitor overall vendor performance
Partner with internal supply chain partners (technical, compliance, testing, quality, import ops, finance)
Propose target costs based on initial styling information
Tech pack review
Costing analytics
Manage Time Action calendars (prelim - xfty)
Manage critical path date adherence
Oversee adherence to critical milestone dates (lab dip approvals, trim approval, fit approval, green seal sample approval, PO issuance)
Address deficiencies as they occur with stakeholders / owners
Oversee PO issuance process
Ensure appropriate port of expor Deliver on supply chain goals (outlined under Sr. Director) Attend fit sessions
Communicate changes to merchants
Manage weekly exception reporting
Partners with Director on managing and developing the people component, including hiring/hiring, retention and, performance management
Sets the appropriate tone. Effectively manages through periods of change with a positive attitude despite ambiguity and uncertainty.
Partners with Director on assessing team performance through quantitative and qualitative assessment.
Provides recommendations on training and development needs.

Position will manage, guide and direct staff.
Position is responsible for resolving complex issues and discrepancies that surface up from staff.

Education/Experience:
College degree, advanced degree preferred
8-10 years textile and apparel product development and sourcing experience
3 years general management / leadership experience
