Manager, Product Development/Jewelry - Frontline

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To develop product for assigned categories to meet Merchants buy needs seasonally. Work closely with Director, Merchants Product teams to execute seasonal concept direction, line plan style needs, margin requirements, and completion of product. Manage Brand Integrity through internal and external Design and Product Development. Continue to evolve Chico’s product process.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute development interpretation and communicate creative packages and deadlines to internal and external teams
• Mentor and train associates to develop assigned categories to create a better understanding of the Chico’s customer and creative interpretations
• RD for new fabric and techniques
• Communicate product aesthetics to vendors through detailed creative packages and emails
• Obtain initial pricing and lead time to maintain required IMU and delivery needs
• Initiate test recommendations on a seasonal and ongoing basis
• Manage timelines on Development Calendar and Line Plan needs
• Partner with Director, Design Development to review and approve print strike-offs in coordination with Design
• Coordinate visual boards and samples to drive newness to the Brand
• Attend fit meetings to maintain initial vision with DMM
• Work closely with Director and other product teams to compliment and coordinate process, procedures, and development needs/packages
• Prepare assist in seasonal product reviews
• Manage liability, fabric development, and seasonal presentation for assigned category
• Manages, develops and educates direct reports. Provides guidance, mentoring/coaching and feedback on performance
• Travel as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 6 plus years of experience in design or product development
• 4- Year college degree
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Exposure to PDM or comparable software
• Experience with fit sessions, fabric development, finishes, and construction details
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint)
• Excellent management skills
