Manager, Product Risk
Responsibilities:
- Oversee due diligence on issuers/fund houses and wealth management products (including both retail and private banking wealth management products), including the preparation of the Issuer/Fund House Approval (IFA), Product Type Approval (PTA) and Product Due Diligence Analysis (DDA) (with the calculation of Product Risk Rating (PRR))
- Work closely with risk management department, legal and compliance department and support units in the product due diligence process
- Closely monitor the risk of wealth management products, including the preparation of the annual, bi-monthly and event-driven ongoing monitoring
- Conduct manual reviews on the PRR, high-yield bond and derivative knowledge status of wealth management products
- Provide retail wealth management products related trainings to new and existing staff at inception and on an ongoing basis, including New branch Staff Training, Semi-annual Refresher Training and new product training
- Develop and conduct regular review on the product risk rating and customer risk profiling methodologies, including the maintenance of the Product Risk Assessment Model, Guiding Principles and Risk Assessment Questionnaire (RAQ)
- Develop and conduct regular review on the bank-wide investment product approval framework and procedure
- Perform the retail wealth management products master system maintenance
- Support product team in the development of selling materials of wealth management products, including providing the product features and key risk warning in SEM, reviewing the marketing brochure, term sheet and important facts statement
- Assist the WMD-related procedure maintenance
- Lead/support projects related to wealth management business
To meet the challenge, you should have the following qualifications and attributes:
- Degree holder
- CFA or FRM is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial industry with 3 years must be related to wealth management, risk or treasury operation
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Self-motivated and attentive to details
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Excel
