JOB DESCRIPTION:
Overview:
The Production Manager, manages, coordinates and directs work assignments and activities of the production department personally and/or through subordinate supervisors, in processing materials or manufacturing products within the organization in accordance with cGMP and safety guidelines as well as applicable Teva standard operating procedures (SOP).
Responsibilities:
- Execute the work plan to meet product customer service levels on time and at cost.
- Direct and manage staff in the support of the production schedule in terms of staffing, work schedules, planning related work activities, and equipment maintenance.
- Assure the proper completion of all batch record documentation for the department
- Prepare and manage the annual departmental expense and capital budgets.
- Ensure that all department personnel are adequately trained in SOP. Oversee and ensure that new SOPs are written to accurately cover all significant activities within the department.
- Develop and maintain position skills inventories (PSI) for the department
- Create and maintain a process flow matrix for department equipment and processes.
- Lead process improvement projects and evaluate new equipment and processes.
- Recommend and implement changes in procedures and equipment to improve quality of product, reduce labor and improve safety.
- Assure that the department maintains regulatory compliance by auditing procedures and monitoring activities inside and outside the department.
- Perform investigations and assure completion of process / product deviation reports.
- Schedule periodic meetings with direct reports for departmental communication. Discuss achievements, future goals, and any concerns.
- Lead, implement, enforce, and follow Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or related fields or equivalent experience. Individuals with equivalent combination of education, training and related experience will be considered.
Seven years of related management experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience in Supervision and/or Management of aseptic production and filling processes.
- Familiar with TAH products and business processes.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Project, Power Point) and enterprise resource planning software.
- Understanding of the design, operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment used for pharmaceutical production.
