Manager, Program Management Office

ProLogis is seeking a Manager, Program Management Office at our global Operations Headquarters in Denver, Colorado.  Our office is located near Pena Blvd. and I-70.  This position is responsible for building and managing the global program management office function.  This is a key leadership position that requires the ability to develop and roll out new PMO process initiatives, track ongoing project and portfolio status, and implement a project management community of practice to improve project execution across the company. 

 

Position Responsibilities: 

·         Define, develop, and implement project management practices, governance standards, processes, and metrics.

·         Ensure projects are defined, implemented, tracked, and communicated in a consistent and effective manner.

·         Incorporate effective change and risk management controls.

·         Partner with IT and business leaders to define opportunities to identify and prioritize projects.

·         Negotiate with business stakeholders and members of the IT organization to identify appropriate project management solutions for business problems.

·         Mentor and manage project managers.

·         Partner with IT leadership to ensure all projects within the IT portfolio are delivered on time, within budget, and to an agreed-upon quality level.

·         Apply project management techniques as well as facilitation, leadership and constructive communication skills to foster collaboration, prioritization, issue management, and objective decision making, to drive timely and cost-effective project delivery.

·         Manage the delivery of one or more concurrent projects to successful delivery on an as-needed basis.

Essential Skills Experience: 

·         Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. 

·         10+ years related business/industry work experience, including 4 years supervisory/management experience.

·         Extensive experience in implementing project and portfolio management methodologies and tools.

·         Demonstrated aptitude and experience establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with business stakeholders, business customers, executives, and IT colleagues.

·         Solid experience managing projects and people in complex matrix organizations.

·         Strong presentation, oral and written, and negotiation skills required.

·         Demonstrated change management skills. Proven ability to lead through influence and drive adoption of a project management community of practice across a company.
