Responsibilities

Summary Manages and implements the production of all high profile Marquee Events at USH, including but not limited to Atmosphere, Halloween Horror Nights and Grinchmas by performing the following duties: Essential Functions Oversees and approves the daily operations of each event production regarding product quality, technical services, and staffing. Delegates and provides work direction to Event Production Managers and Stage Managers for daily management of individual events, while maintaining the over-all vision of the production department. Provides administration of all event budgets on a daily basis to include staffing needs, purchase approvals, and budget tracking. Works closely with finance and senior management on budget updates, justification and the movement of money within the budget for each event. Responsible for the development, tracking, and payment of individual event contracts on a daily basis. Provides continual communication to Task Force regarding contents of contracts. Responsible for chairing meetings with event teams such as Production Staff, Marketing, Sales, Retail, Food and Interdepartmental teams on a weekly basis to discuss strategic planning of events from a marketing, sales and operational standpoint. Develops staffing structure per event to include pay rates, job descriptions, start/end dates, space needs and audition participation. Provides justification of such to upper management. Works with Human Resources on training needs and SOP’s. Sets timelines for production development, installation and strike. Develops operating schedules for event specific attractions. Maintains show quality, cost effectiveness and product quality by developing, performing and delegating daily quality control audits. Researches and finds innovative improvements to guest flow, merchandise, and Food Beverage offerings during event production. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Performing Arts, Stage Management, Production, Business or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in theatrical or entertainment production.
  • Working technical knowledge of stage direction, lighting, and audio required.
  • Strong financial and excel knowledge required.
  • Desired Characteristics

  • Solid Background in vendor negotiations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all lines of business, and with all levels of management.
  • Ability to deal well with ambiguity and constant change.
  • A strong passion for delivering the highest quality of guest service.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and nights as required.
