Supports the Public Policy Team by providing business, analytical and project management support to public policy initiatives. Manages large scale projects to assure workplans are developed and deadlines are achieved. Supports the business owners in the development of data analytics to support policy positions.
Essential Functions:
- Analyzes the business impact of executive and legislative policy proposals.
- Conducts data analysis to support the development of public policy proposals
- Manages public policy project initiatives including the development of detailed work plans, deadlines, assignments and monitoring/summarizing project progress.
- Proactively evaluates macro-market data and benchmarks to discern trends, anomalies, and areas of opportunity or uncertainty as well as participate in the development of metrics/dashboards to monitor trends impacting the policy environment.
- Develops whitepapers, 1-pagers and Powerpoint presentations in support of public policy research and analysis
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education: A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Political Science, Public Affairs or related field. An MBA, MPH or MPA preferred.
Experience: 5+ yearsPublic Policy, Project Management, Financial or Business Analysis experience within a Health Care environment.
Special Skills (e.g. 2nd language):
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data in order to coordinate the preparation of financial records
