Position: Manager, Quality Assurance and Systems Analysis
Job Description:
Procom KW’s client is looking for a Manager, Quality Assurance and Systems Analysis resource for a permanent opportunity with an industry leading organization. The successful Candidate will report to the Assistant Vice-President, Group IT, leading the Quality Assurance (QA) and Systems Analysis (SA) functions within Group IT.
The goal of the position is to build a high performing Group QA and SA team, improve the quality assurance and system analysis practices within the company, build and foster great relationships with the Group business area and provide excellent delivery of projects and maintenance activities.
Accountabilities:
-Leads QA and SA efforts in the delivery of projects and maintenance activities to the Group business area
-Builds and maintains a high performing team that leverages individual capabilities and strengths
-Sets direction and vision for quality assurance and system analysis, implements this vision through the delivery of templates, standards, processes and tools
-Collaborates with business leaders on the identification, analysis, recommendation and delivery of solutions to business problems
-Defines quality assurance strategies, plans and schedules as well as leads the creation of system analysis documents, reviews and schedules for projects and maintenance activities
-Provides high level and detailed estimates
-Manages the maintenance request intake, priority setting and delivery process
-Implements/manages use of test automation tools and technologies
-Participates in requirements review and requirements analysis meetings
-Champions QA and SA team in management meetings, departmental meetings and cross departmental meetings
Mandatory Skills:
-6+ Years in an IT team lead/management position focused on quality assurance and system analysis, preferably with a focus on automated testing
-Experience partnering with external development and/or quality assurance vendors
-Experience in Agile delivery
-Excellent leadership ability
-Bachelor’s degree, College diploma in Computer Science field
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
