QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER – FLUOR – FARNBOROUGH, HAMPSHIRE – STAFF

In order to remain one of the world’s safest contractors, and continue to develop, execute and maintain capital projects on schedule and within budget, we are looking to appoint a Manager for the Quality Assurance department in the UK Farnborough Head Office.

As the successful incumbent you will provide the overall leadership for the QA department, as well as to oversee technical quality in your area of responsibility, provide functional leadership and training, and direct the work of assigned quality assurance personnel. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities to name a few include:

 

1. Plan and execute quality assurance assignments requiring the application of established written procedures and techniques.

2. Demonstrate an advanced-level understanding of quality programs, concepts, principles, practices, techniques, and methods.

3. Ensure that the Fluor Operating System (OSR) is clearly understood and effectively applied within assigned area of responsibility.

4. Interface with management, department, and project personnel on quality-related matters.

5. Perform the role of Project Quality Representative on very large or complex projects, when required.

6. Act as a Lead Auditor on very large or complex projects.

7. Provide technical and general supervision to direct reports.

8. Fulfil the role of Office QA Manager in a major office, if assigned.

9. Assist with proposal preparation and client interface.

10. Perform technical and administrative functions (i.e., planning, organizing, interpreting, and coordinating).

11. Perform people development activities including mentoring and training.

12. Actively participate in the knowledge management system by, using existing knowledge, submitting new knowledge and responding to forum topics.  

13. Frequently demonstrate the use of knowledge and experience gained from previous assignments, training and education.

 

Requirements

1. With a Masters or Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline/technical field or equivalent, you will have extensive senior level experience gained within the EPCM industry.

2. Auditor certification by outside agency (e.g., RAB, ASQ, CQI, etc.) preferred.

3. Professional engineering registration preferred.
