Job Description
The incumbent is responsible for developing and growing partnerships in the region, in particular, to assist in the management of a key business partnership with a bank
The key responsibilities include:
PL accountability - Provide strategic thought expertise to generate new business volume and grow the relationships by delivering key performance indicators, namely, ECIF, Billings, Revenue, Expenses, PTI and Net Income targets.
Drive growth of the Card portfolios - Establish clear issuing / product line strategies with the partners to drive consumer take up and engagement. Identify opportunities to grow SOW and usage and drive spending. Identify strategies to capture a greater share of the partner’s portfolios and increase relevance of the portfolio. This will include developing a comprehensive understanding of the competitive products in the market and to create “best in market” products
Identify growth opportunities – Identify additional transformational business opportunities that will drive significant market growth, deepen the relationships with the partner
Relationship Management - Develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers in the partners’ organisations, and build strong multi -level relationships across the partner’s organization to ensure buy in of client’s strategy and financial model
Service delivery - Partner with cross functional teams to ensure consistent delivery of services to partners to support their business needs and continuous process improvements to maximize growth including card platforms
Compliance / Brand Standards – Ensure adherence to compliance, business policies, procedures, service standards, brand and product guide-lines, etc.
Requirements
- Degree holder with superior understanding of the card markets and competitive environments
- Strong thought leadership and strategic analytical ability to shape and implement long-term vision, drive execution and manage profitability
- Able to identify strategic business opportunities to maximize partnership growth
- Strong relationship skills to deepen and grow the partnerships at senior levels and deliver long term growth
- Influencing and negotiating skills particularly with external partners where there is no direct authority and who are market leaders in the environments in which they operate
- Highly analytical, with the entrepreneurial capacity and financial acumen to meet all key financial and key business driver targets and drive profitability.
- Strong project management and execution skills to manage complex projects end to end.
- Team player with ability to influence behavior without direct authority, both externally with partners and internally with staff groups and other LOBs.
- Self motivated and strong ability to drive results with a successful track record in matrix management and in managing ambiguity.
- Must be open to regional travelling
