Our client, a full service International Bank with a growing presence in Canada is located in Toronto and seeking a Manager, Regulatory Compliance to join its expanding team. The role reports directly into the Senior Manager Compliance. This is an entrepreneurial environment offering long term growth for a highly motivated individual with the desire to excel.
As Manager, Regulatory Compliance, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to the Bank including but not limited to the requirements under the Bank Act, Proceed of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA), and Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act;
- Developing appropriate controls including policies, procedures, training, etc. based on applicable requirements and best industry practices;
- Conducting independent Compliance and AML/ATF reviews;
- Conducting Compliance and AML/ATF training programs.
Qualifications:
As a strong candidate for the Manager, Regulatory Compliance role, you bring forward the following skill sets and experience:
- 2 or more years of experience working for a Canadian Bank;
- Undergraduate Degree in Business, Finance, or Law;
- Solid LCM (Legislative Compliance Management) experience;
- Experience working with FCAC (Financial Consumer Agency of Canada);
- Knowledge of AML/ATF (Anti Money Laundering/Anti Terrorist Financing) regulations;
- Knowledge of the Canadian Bank Act, FINTRAC specifically PCMLTFA (The Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act), PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act).
- Strong project management skills and good conflict management, negotiation and influencing skills.
