Our client is a leading global bank with strong presence in the region and continuous growth plans as well. As a part of the same, they are looking to hire someone in their Finance team in Hong Kong.
The successful hire will lead a team of 10 and will be mainly responsible for providing advice and support to business and other functions on issues relating to regulatory reporting and ensuring an effective and efficient internal control system is in place for the preparation of HKMA returns. You will be required to submit accurate financial and non-financial information to HKMA as required and also provide assistance in ad-hoc projects/finance initiatives as required. The role will also manage the implementation of new HKMA reporting requirements and the regulatory reporting aspects for new products and transactions.
The successful hire will be a qualified accountant with atleast 12 years of relevant working experience gained for a large bank. Strong banking product and accounting knowledge and excellent exposure to HKMA regulations is essential. You must have excellent communication skills and have prior experience in managing a sizeable team. The role requires ability to deal with senior stakeholders both within the business and externally as well.
