Within HSBC Technology and Services, Global Service Delivery is a business-aligned, customer-servicing organisation with the primary objective of driving operational excellence across our businesses worldwide. Achieving this through the consolidation, simplification and continuous improvement of processes across the full range of HSBC operations, the division simultaneously takes responsibility for managing operational, location and processing risk and ensuring that services provided are at a best-in-class price point for the required quality level.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager, Risk and Administration
In this role, you will
- Implement robust controls to reduce risk exposure and operation losses year-on-year.
- Assist local business partners to reduce overall risk exposure in processes performed by Service Delivery (SD).
- Monitor dispensations and implement compensating controls in order to reduce risk exposure
- Identify current or emerging risk issues, especially regulatory related control deficiencies.
- Liaise with Auditors and regulators in reviews and internal/external audits
- Maintain constant contact and professional relationship with senior management, other BRCMs, Auditors, Compliance, Legal etc.
- Escalate accordingly and provide useful recommendations to management.
- Promote risk awareness and share experience/knowledge; develop other staff towards risk management.
- Ensure implemented controls in SD are similarly adopted in offshored and/or outsourced operations.
- Research and collect risk related information assisting the global office to apply standard solutions whenever possible.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
- University degree in business, finance, marketing or another relevant discipline
- Solid knowledge of Risk Management and Internal Control
- Detail-conscious and high risk awareness
- Basic understanding of Local Regulations requirements, local best practices and banking operations and systems
- Excellent communication skills and able to build good work relationship with team members and Compliance, Legal, Auditors and senior management.
- Disciplined mind-set and able to think and act proactively
