Manager, Risk and Quality Assurance Job in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada
Eagle is currently seeking a Manager, Risk and Quality Assurance for a permanent job opportunity, scheduled to begin immediately.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing program level risk and ensuring project risk is managed according to the client's governance, procedures, and methodologies;
- Conducting periodic quality assurance checks on projects, making recommendations to improve project management, and reporting QA findings;
- Providing quality assurance and risk management services;
- Completing quarterly internal program-level risk assessments;
- Coordinating quarterly external program-level risk assessments with third party risk advisor;
- Completing monthly reviews and assessments of project-level risk management;
- Preparing and delivering various risk management reports and presentations on a regular basis;
- Conducting project reviews and "health checks" and documenting review findings and recommendations;
- Preparing and delivering quarterly summary reports on health check findings and trends;
- Preparing monthly risk and QA materials for program dashboard;
- Conducting health checks on specific components on the program, such as interdependency management;
- Assessing governance compliance across the program and developing recommendations to improve compliance;
- Providing support and coaching to project and portfolio managers on risk and quality assurance matters;
- Reviewing and assessing the quality of project plans and other deliverables to ensure quality outcomes; and,
- Managing, enhancing, and communicating risk and QA processes.
Skills and Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have:
- Ten plus (10+) years of project management experience, including experience through the complete project life cycle in large complex,
multi-stakeholder projects; - Post secondary education in Business Administration or Project Management;
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation;
- Extensive knowledge of project management best practices, methodology, tools, and techniques;
- Audit, risk management, or quality assurance related certification is desirable;
- Extremely effective at time management, and the ability to handle a large volume of structured work; and,
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills required to work effectively at all levels of the Corporation.
