Manager – Risk Finance 110-120k plus super recruitment

The Company
Our client is a leading banking group headquartered in Sydney.

The Role
As Manager, Risk Finance your main responsibilities will include producing timely, accurate and relevant business focussed monthly performance reports, managing the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process, as well as analysing and reporting on financial variances in relation to the Risk Management function.

Key customers in this role include senior management across Risk Management and Finance so it is imperative to develop strong working relationships and maintain a high standard of customer service.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Providing key support to the Executive Manager Risk Management Finance
- Managing the monthly reporting cycle, other management reporting and business related processes
- Analysing and preparing management reports to provide insight to the business; Identifying and assessing emerging trends in the underlying operations
- Preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly planning and forecasting
- Investigating causes of significant variances and providing corrective action
- Managing preparation of monthly Business Unit Group Executive performance reports
- Managing and understanding in depth the drivers and methods of allocating Risk costs to frontline businesses.
- Ongoing review of results and initiating action where required on unfavourable or unexplained variances
- Ensuring management and financial accounting is accurate and up to date
- Gathering information from sources both internal and external to own responsibility and function
- Identifying related issues and propose solutions
- Other projects - related tasks as required for Group Executives and Leadership Teams


Your Profile
The requirements for the position include:

- CPA or CA qualified
- Strong experience in a management accounting or business analyst role
- A progressive and stable career history
- The ability to learn quickly and have excellent attention to detail
- Exposure to Microsoft based products and Essbase
