Manager – Risk Management (ERM&S / Enterprise Risk Management) recruitment
This position is primarily responsible for developing, reviewing, implementing and supporting the HKEx Market Contingency Planning Escalation policies, procedures and related activities across all departments within HKEx to ensure cross-functional collaboration and consistency where appropriate and driving tactical improvements. The role will also prepare for and participate in the market contingency rehearsals of the financial sector and work with the financial market regulators such as the Financial Secretary, FSTB, HKMA, etc, on the project. Other responsibilities include supporting enterprise risk management project, performing risk analysis, compiling risk management reports and supporting other ad hoc projects or tasks within the ERM section.
Job Responsibilities:
- To develop and plan guidelines, templates and awareness programs to implement the Market Contingency Planning Escalation policies and procedures
- To conduct workshops and provide facilitation to all departments on the development, update and testing of departmental contingency plans
- To work with the management and departments on the relevancy and adequacy of existing HKEx’s Market Contingency Planning and scenarios
- To perform periodic review and update of the Market Contingency Planning Escalation policies and procedures and be able to recommend appropriate enhancements to address any changes within the organization
- To support HKEx in the participation of the market contingency rehearsals of the financial sector conducted periodically by financial market regulators
- To keep abreast of market situations news; and best practices and be able to recommend appropriate contingency planning, actions or testing when necessary
- To undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by supervisors
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant or University Degree, preferably in Risk Management / Finance /Economics / Accountancy or related subject and holder of relevant professional qualification, preferably Business Continuity Management, FRM and/or CFA
- Strong knowledge of business continuity best practices, regulatory requirements, IT systems inter-dependencies, operational controls and financial products services within financial institutions
- At least 6 years’ relevant experience in business continuity management in the financial services sector with at least 2 years at management level
- Excellent project management skills from requirement gathering, design, planning and implementation
- Strong documentation, analytical, facilitation, communication and presentation skills
- Must be persevered and able to work as a team, have good initiatives and creativity in deliverables and problem-solving in a timely manner
- Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and preferably Putonghua
- Conversant with MS Word / Excel Access programming / PowerPoint / SQL / Visual Basic and programming
