We are currently looking for talented people to join our Financial Services Practice within the South East (Reading, Gatwick, Southampton)
The Division:
Our Financial Services team specialise in helping leading financial services clients to transform and integrate their Compliance and Risk operations, whilst also driving value from the ever increasing and complex regulatory agenda. We are team of over 70 across the South providing external audit services, advisory and internal audit services to our clients.
We partner with clients in both a business advisory and consulting capacity and based on unprecedented demands for our services, we are looking to recruit further individuals to add value into this growing team.
We are the only big four with regulatory presence in Reading/Southampton/Bristol/ Cardiff. This sets us aside from our peers and enables us to provide service specific to our clients needs and understand our regional markets.
What we offer
There is an opportunity for the right candidate to progress through the firm. Our current team size is twelve, having grown from five two years ago.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience around prudential regulation, particularly Solvency II and CRD IV
We are also looking for good candidates with extensive Conduct Risk knowledge, especially around mortgages and investment regulation, preferably in a policy role and experience of outcomes testing.
The role
We spend the majority of our time interacting with clients, whether that be meeting them to discuss their needs, reviewing their procedures and policies or testing that they meet regulatory requirements and stay the right side of the regulator. We also provide support to firms where they are short of staff, helping to gap fill in compliance, risk and business teams.
The role offers a great variety of different client work, including the chance to work with the regulator, and working with like minded people within Deloitte. It offers experience not available within regulated firms. For appropriate individuals there will be line management responsibilities as well.
We work at client sites so the role requires travelling, and staying, away from home.
We also spend time presenting to our clients on regulatory hot topics.
