Manager, Sales & Marketing Operations Job in Toronto, Ontario Canada

Dual-Reports to: Field Sales Directors:  Multi-brand and Specialty Accounts, Canada

 

Objective:

Support the Canadian Multi-brand accounts led by VP Customer Strategy NA and VP Channel Development NA in building brand equity, driving retail sales growth, and increasing market share in Canada by conducting business analysis, cross brand coordination, and sales forecasting while  making strategic recommendations to build the overall business.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

·         Compile and evaluate consolidated weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual sales reporting for field team by territory and brand.

·         Conduct monthly retail sales performance reviews verses target and identifies focus doors for improvement.

·         Compile and evaluate consolidated seasonal marketing calendars for multiple ELC brands by retailer for field team. Address conflicting dates in partnership with Field Sales Directors and Brand Managers.

·         Build close and collaborative relationships with brand teams, specifically Brand Managers and Brand Planners.

·         Coordinate and support (2) Field Sales Directors:  Specialty Canada and Multi-Brand Department Store on inventory management and sales plans by account, territory. 

·         Coordinate with Brand Planners to make planning/inventory recommendations, as needed, to ensure appropriate in-store inventory levels.

·         Support key account strategies with V.P. of Sales by evaluating the business and making financial  recommendations to increase marketshare, sales and profit.

·         Coordinate and support Field Sales Directors and planners with new product launches.  Efforts include analyzing past events, devising product sales goals, allocating product and collateral accordingly, and executing recommended launch details with store teams. 

·         Coordinate and Support Field Sales Directors and planners with GWP/Token of Appreciation or other customer-facing promotions. Efforts to include analyzing past events, devising event goals, allocating gifts and collateral accordingly, and executing program details with store teams. 

·         Support Field Sales Directors in determining annual sales target achievement linked to bonus payouts and subsequent tracking.

·         Support Field Sales Directors in conducting store analyses to recommend any adjustments to distribution strategy for new and existing doors.

·         Supports Field Sales Directors in demonstration/freelance and staffing analyses to optimize productivity and ROI.

 

Qualifications:

·         5+ years of relevant marketing, sales operations, or planning experience.

·         College degree preferred.

·         Proven excellence in quantitative, analytical skills execution.  Forecasting experience, a plus.

·         Organizational and project management fluency; strong attention to detail

·         Strong communication skills —both written and verbal.

·         Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Office
