POSITION SUMMARY:
PlanPrescriber, Inc., a growing, a wholly-owned subsidiary of eHealth, Inc., is seeking a talented Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager with at least 1 to 3 years of SEO experience. The SEO Manager should be familiar with Internet marketing, well organized, have experience in organic search especially with Google, Yahoo, and Bing, with demonstrated success in organic ranking of sites, while having the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage all on-site and off-site SEO initiatives with the goal of increasing search engine rankings and organic traffic
- Manage all aspects of SEO campaigns from generating reports to conducting site audits to researching keywords
- Establish and maintain strategic SEO plan, setting priorities and driving projects thru the software lifecycle.
- Define SEO requirements in a product management capacity by recommending site enhancements that maximize ROI and increase rank of natural search result listings
- Provide SEO insight and guidance on all online projects / strategies, including optimizing sites for lead generation
- Conduct ongoing competitive research and analysis
- Keep on top of industry trends/innovations with regards to search engines and search engine marketing
- Generate, compile and distribute all relevant SEO statistics (keyword/link/rank/index)
- Recommend/implement optimization tactics based on research, traffic analysis and overall trends
- Monitor top-tier search engines to ensure keyword rankings and exposure
- Create and maintain centralized SEO best practices documentation
- Conduct SEO education sessions
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS in Marketing or related studies. An MBA is a plus.
- 2 to 5 years experience in an SEO leadership role.
- Demonstrated track record of SEO success in an e-Commerce environment.
- Experience writing MRD’s and PRD’s, and navigating the software lifecycle process.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/XML and dynamic websites.
- Strong writing, presentation and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to achieve natural search engine rankings via the applications of ethical SEO techniques.
- Demonstrated understanding of website architecture as it relates to SEO.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, critical thinking and independent learning abilities.
- Experience working with web analytics tools such as Omniture or Google Analytics.
- Demonstrated effectiveness to work independently as well as within a cross-departmental team .
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
