Manager / Senior Manager / Director – Risk Advisory Services recruitment

The Risk Advisory practice will focus on non-financial risks. The individual will be charged with building the practice; this initially will entail both business development as well as execution of projects (with a pool of c 20 staff in the Czech Rep that can assist) and, on a long-term basis, they will build up their own team.

Responsibilities:

you will be responsible for both business development as well as execution of Risk Management projects. Your area of responsibility will also be linkage of Risk Management concepts into areas such as Corporate Governance, Internal Controls, Compliance and Internal Audit.

Your objective in a short term will be to establish a well performing team, which is economically self-sustainable and delivers project in the areas above. The required umbrella Risk Management capabilities and your specialized focused will be on:

• Ability to serve clients and advise them on various Risk Management strategies

• Evaluate and recommend to our clients various methods of Risk Management

• Recommend and implement processes for measurement and reporting on various types of risks

• Advise clients on implementing supporting Risk Management tools and be prepared to implement those if needed

As for Corporate Governance, Internal Controls, Compliance and Internal Audit areas, you will be expected to develop market opportunities and oversee execution of projects in the areas such as:

• Financial and IT auditing and internal control reviews

• Supporting Sarbanes-Oxley 404 certification process

• Compliance reviews and audits

• Operational auditing (involving analysing and solving critical business issues and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of business operations)

Except from expected active market penetration in the above areas, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership (from planning through to wrap-up) of multiple engagements per year. You will work with the team to develop objectives and an approach that effectively achieves those objectives. You will also drive the preparation of the final report, incorporating input from the team and clients. Finally, you will be responsible for presenting the results to various levels of management.

Requirements:

• At least 4-5 years practical experience in Risk Management

• Solid track record of selling Risk Management projects

• Previous practical experience with delivering projects in internal Controls area, Internal Audit, Accounting, Auditing, Finance and Business Process Improvement

• Masters Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance and Economics, or Technical University is required

• Relevant certification such as CRCMP, PRIMA, ACCA, CIA, CISA or similar

• Advanced technical knowledge of

   - Accounting principles (IFRS)

   - Internal control frameworks, and

   - Auditing techniques

• Czech and English language skills (written and spoken) at a professional level

• Existing network of contacts relevant to the above

• Project management, team leadership, or supervisory experience

• Management skills in building client relationships

• Consultative nature, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and decision making skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

• Ability to learn quickly, be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and adapt in a dynamic environment

• Willingness to travel
