Manages a 24-hour department multiple smaller departments providing patient care services to inpatient outpatient facilities, ensures staff provides high quality infection control patient focused services to members which comply w/ local, state, federal requirements, develops maintains budgets ongoing staff development. Essential Functions: - Manages the operations of multiple departments in inpatient outpatient facilities - Ensures supervisors staff provide the highest quality sterile high-level disinfected instrumentation, supplies equipment are in compliance w/ The Joint Commission, federal, state, local requirements standard recommended practices from AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) AORN (Association of preoperative Registered Nurses) - Establishes, implements, maintains infection control standards to meet members internal client's expectations - Designs evaluates processes to improve systems patient care results - Collaborates w/ other health care providers in establishing, implementing maintaining patient care infection control standards to meet members internal client's expectations - Monitors financial performance identifies implements strategies to reduce cost improve quality of care/service - Determines the appropriate staff mix for department develops processes to screen, interview, hire, train, maintain the competency of all department staff - Ensures ongoing staff development - Develops implements monitors departmental policies procedures which support the organizational goals business objectives ensures they are met - Collaborates w/ perioperative service line director/ or manager/clinic managers in developing the level of patient services day-to-day operations of the department - Manages resolves human resource, labor relations, employee department safety risk management issues Requirements
