Function: Sourcing Family: Strategic Sourcing What Strategic Sourcing contributes to Cardinal Health Strategic Sourcing is responsible for thedevelopment and execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships within business entity or across enterprise to achieve best total value. Includes Category and or Commodity management strategies and execution, supplier relationship management, negotiation, risk management and supply base performance management. Individuals in Global roles will be required to have the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience to design and execute strategies in a global environment. May be involved in forward or investment buys, plus alternative markets. Activities include identifying potential suppliers, evaluating current suppliers, coordinating supplier qualifications, conducting technical capability and financial strength analyses, leading RFP processes, conducting negotiations, managing supplier communications, developing contracts and agreements, monitoring contract compliance, developing the raw materials budget for operating plan, developing commodity impact for the 3 yr strategic plan, forecasting and reporting raw material commodities. Developing and implementing cost reductions, supply chain improvements and leading and participating in operational excellence projects. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related degree is preferred. Bachelor?s degree in a related field is required Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field, minimum of 6 years experience in a manufacturing environment 3 years minimum sourcing experience Experience sourcing non-wovens, fabrics or films highly desired. Ability to develop teams and lead people preferred Demonstrated results in progressive positions of responsibility and direct experience in successfully managing a centralized function in a decentralized organization. Familiar with contracts and product development programs and procedures related to medical products and services.
