Manager, Strategy & Integration Advisory – Ref HKF977 recruitment

We are currently seeking a manager to join the Strategy and Integration / Separation Advisory Practice, focused on the Financial Services (Banking and/or Insurance) sector.

As part of KPMG’s Transaction and Restructuring (TR) group, the Strategy and Integration / Separation Advisory Practice provides clients with strategy, merger, acquisition and divestiture support. Our professionals work with our clients across the transaction lifecycle to help ensure that strategic objectives, value targets are met and enhancing overall shareholder value.

Responsibilities
• Providing on-ground support for Hong Kong / China based engagement directors and serve as the day-to-day liaison to clients
• Lead in-depth research and analysis on the financial services industry, market, customers, competitors, and/or target companies
• Work with the leadership team to apply insights to the strategic issue faced by the client
• Lead preparation of high-quality recommendations (incl. powerpoint slides and financial models) for clients
• Develop, maintain and sustain relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Leverage prior experience to help build and enhance differentiated service offerings for the practice
• Lead the creation and development of proposals, teasers and attend client sales meetings

Experience
• First class education from leading international universities
• Minimum of 5 years strategy consulting experience within one of the strategy houses, top tier management consulting firms and/or big four firms focusing on the financial services (Banking and/or Insurance) sector
• Demonstrate a full understanding of the MA process from within a corporate or in an advisory capacity
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in one/or many of the areas: market entry strategy, MA strategy, synergy assessment, merger integration, business / operating model development etc
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to build and develop relationships at senior level
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills
• Self-motivated, well-organised and can-do attitude
• Aptitude in standard computer software (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin; Cantonese a plus
