JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Manager
FUNCTION:
Manage manufacturing plant supply functions of procurement, scheduling, warehouse management (Shipping, Receiving, Transportation and Inventory) and database coordination in optimizing the use of plant resources to achieve management established delivery lead-time, inventory and cash flow objectives.
Assist the Strategic Supply Planner, Americas in the adoption of lean manufacturing/ planning principles and the implementation of information technologies within the mfg. facility.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop Production, Inventory and Material Plans in coordination with the Regional Planner/s and direct plant personnel in the execution of the approved plans --- following their review and approval at the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) meeting.
? Adhere to the monthly SOP cycle of activities in providing process inputs and managing process output.
? Collaborate with the Regional Planner Demand Analyst to understand customer demand (inter-company included) and market drivers to facilitate a balancing of capacity (tool, machine and labor), inventory and delivery lead-time in the development of the production plan.
? Work with the Regional Planners to aggregate the plant Master Production Schedule (MPS), incorporate forecast and market demand and develop a production plan (VOLUME). SOP approved Production Plans are then aligned with and incorporated into the plant Master Production Schedule (MIX plan) and executed via the shop-floor scheduling tool.
? As part of the Lean Mfg. program, manage the upkeep of both the Demand and Supply volume/variability analysis?s. Discuss and agree upon proposed run rates and maximum percent resource load with the Regional Planner.
o Participate in Plant-to-Plant Kanban programs.

Execute Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) for key resources (tools, machine, labor and material) to establish that the Production Plan is achievable and to recommend the need for additional resources.

Work with the Strategic Supply Planner, Americas in developing and maintaining a program to manage the manufacturing plant?s Raw Material sourcing routines for an optimal balance between inventory, cash flow and transportation cost.
? Will entail working with the Director, Purchasing, Americas and our suppliers (within the construct of the West supplier management program).
? Support purchasing in planning for raw material conversions.

.Manage the customer order cycle and communication between plants, headquarters and the customer.
? Track mfg. lead times and delivery performance to assure targeted Customer Service levels are being achieved.
? Track actual production and inventory to plan, interpret variances, and institute corrective action.
o Track/disposition slow moving and obsolete inventory.

Assist plant personnel in the understanding of ERP methodology and the use of ERP and scheduling information technology tools.
? In the absence of packaged solutions, develop and implement PC/Microsoft based tools.

Manage effective product transfer plans as both the sending plant or the receiving plant.

Support the Plant Database Coordinator to insure the integrity and accuracy of the ERP and MES data.

Roll out high level strategies for supply chain reports. Give guidance and provide succession planning direct reports in planning, warehouse, database, and inventory management.

Execute project management initiatives via SAP virtual process as well as physical process as necessary.

Provide and monitor monthly metrics pertaining to the Supply Chain and promote change where necessary to improve results.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. in Supply Chain Management or related field; APICS Certification; 7+ years Supply Chain related experience preferably in a Lean Mfg. and cGMP environment; strong ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and APS (Advanced Planning Scheduling) process and systems knowledge --- preferably with SAP; highly proficient PC (Excel) skills and excellent analytical, communication, team building and leadership skills.
