General Position Summary

 

Key position supporting application development, system/application performance, and business recovery planning and execution.

 

Lexicon Manager, System/Application Support and Information Technology is responsible for configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting and optimizing performance of Lexicon’s business applications and systems.   In conjunction with parent company IT staff, supports hardware infrastructure of Lexicon’s LexLink suite of applications and telephone systems

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

 

·         Monitors system performance across all systems to identify and correct issues.  Primary role in assessing and correcting system performance issues. Minimize down time of all Lexicon systems.

·         Provides support across entire Lexicon IT platform and interfaces directly with a broad range of management and cross functional positions

·         Supports ongoing system/application development effort and hardware/software upgrades

·         Support Business integration in interfacing with 3rd party software providers in support of system problems and solutions. 

·         Principal liaison between Lexicon and parent company IT department which provides IT infrastructure support for the Suddath companies and subsidiaries.

·         Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Provides insight based on knowledge of IT to recommend solutions for new technology requirements. Provide strategic technical insight with respect to each functional area and share expertise with integrating other current systems.

·         Works in conjunction with Business Integration/Process to understand system requirements and usage issues/problems and to develop solutions. Offers strategic technical insight with respect to each functional area and makes appropriate redesign recommendations.

·         Develop and maintain a business recovery plan for all Lexicon systems.

·         Accepts additional job assignments and participates in project work as requested

·         Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual and Lexicon’s Policy and Procedures manual

o   Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2 experience

o   Application and database Server clustering

o   MSCE and/or MSITP certification

o   Networking/routing/firewall

o   Active Directory integration

·         SQL DB Administrator:

o   Application optimization

o   Server clustering

o   Maintenance jobs

o   Replication

o   Transact SQL Scripting

o   Failover planning/execution

·         Web Server Skills (IIS 7.0 +)

o   ASP and ASP.Net application support

o   Application server and Failover Clustering

o   Application security setup
