Manager, Taxation and Investment Accounting recruitment

Retirement Benefits Fund (RBF) manages superannuation for Tasmanian public sector employees. Based in Hobart, RBF provides wealth creation services to over 77,500 members and manages over A$3.8 billion in investments.

RBF is looking for an experienced person to manage the taxation activities and investment reporting of the Fund. This will also involve optimising the income tax outcomes for Fund stakeholders by managing the RBF’s taxation policy and investment accounting deliverables for the superannuation schemes and investment products.               

The position is situated in the Finance Division and reports to the Chief Financial Officer. This position contributes to the strategy and performance through the management of the financial integrity, internal control and commerciality of the RBF organisation.   RBF utilises contemporary practices in accounting, financial, budgetary and taxation management, together with the delivery of relevant and timely financial reporting that ensure effective financial support to the business. 

The position will optimise the taxation and investment accounting outcomes for the RBF organisation, and the management and implementation of applicable commercial and financial strategies as defined in the RBF Strategic Plan.

The successful candidate will be a qualified CA/CPA with a minimum of five years’ experience within accounting and taxation.  Knowledge of the application of finance based systems in an environment subject to complex administrative and financial legislative guidelines is essential.
