Acting as the lead deal advisor for our clients, we cover all aspects of a transaction, from pre-deal preparations through to successful deal completion, ensuring the MA deal goes as planned bringing maximum shareholder value.
We help clients to select the optimal buyers or targets and to choose the best negotiation strategy possible; provide value analysis; manage the entire deal process, from pre-deal preparation to successful completion of the deal; take overall responsibility for a transaction, including coordinating the expert tax, legal and accounting teams to ensure the delivery.
The MA team is an integral part of our wider Deals offering and you will closely cooperate with Strategy / Commercial, Transaction Services, Valuation and Taxation groups.

General description of your role
- Manage the transaction process, communicating with legal and other advisors, buyers and sellers and ensuring the deal goes as planned
- Take responsibility for information memorandums, teasers and financial models prepared by junior team members
- Build internal and external networks, aimed at both originating deals and attracting best talent
- Review termsheets, share purchase agreements and other documentation, prepare comments on financial and commercial aspects, assist in drafting negotiation strategy
- Assist in advising on treatment of due diligence findings in valuation and negotiations
- Support directors and partners on negotiations
- Coach junior team members allowing them to grow into MA professionals
Education, experience and skills requirements
- Strong academics: university degree, preferably economics or science
- Excellent analytical skills - demonstrating evidence of being highly numerate
- 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, valuation or transaction support
- Comprehensive theoretical and working knowledge of corporate finance / valuation techniques
- Practical experience in report writing and the preparation of electronic presentations using MS Applications
- Practical working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to structure and build financial models / business plans
- VB knowledge is an advantage
- Knowledge of IFRS and Russian GAAP, US GAAP is a plus
- Fluent in Russian and English
- Completed CFA is an advantage
