Macquarie's business is structured into six operating groups and four service groups
The Market Operations division within Macquarie's Corporate Operations Group provides independent specialist verification, confirmation and settlement facilities for a variety of products and currencies for many of Macquarie's businesses globally. The division provides a key segregated control function for wholesale businesses built on strong operational risk management and a control culture that is consistent and resilient.
The team is looking to appoint a Manager in the trade Finance team. This team is responsible for providing support to the Structured Commodity Finance business and its clients.
You will be responsible for:
- Executing and issuing client valuations based on collateral positions
- Booking physical collateral positions
- Reconciliation of collateral and physical positions
- Initiation of movements across client call accounts held with the bank
- Issuing new and amended Letters of Credit
- Preparing and issuing confirmations for physical commodity transactions
- Maintaining the delivery and receipt of physical certificates of collateral
- Collating and reconciling customer borrowing base reporting
- Liaising with different areas of the bank. i.e Front Office, Legal, Credit , ITG and various other departments
- Managing daily customer exposures and limits
- Implementing current market practice procedures
- Monitoring and arranging daily term funding needs
- Establishing new customer set up and system testing
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in dealing with loan administration and collateral management
- At least 4 years experience in Financial products settlements
- Experience in preparing commodity based trade confirmations
- Ability to develop strong customer relationships
- Exposure across a broad range of commodity products, Agriculture, Energy and Metals
- eCops and Egrain experience
- Experience working in a busy team environment
- Demonstrate leadership ability
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to prioritise tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and a low tolerance for error
- Ability to initiate and incorporate updated procedures
- Ability to work under pressure
- Highly motivated, professional and possess a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and direct contact
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word experience
