Manager, Training - Ogden / Orem Requisition ID 60907 Full/Part Time Full Time Location Ogden, UT Orem, UT This position can be located in Orem or Ogden with frequent travel to the other location. Dimension Scope: The Manager; Training will oversee implementation of all training processes and ensure the delivery and facilitation of adult classroom training in support of client and Convergys programs to ensure superior workforce preparation. Maintain ongoing partnerships with other business and resource units focused on reducing costs and continual performance improvement. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee new hire, continuing education, program specific training, management development training, leadership development training and other training as needed by the business Ensure successful execution of local training needs including resource planning, measuring program training effectiveness, and managing trainer attrition Facilitate client conversations as necessary Develop and cultivate partnership with other business units, resource units, and clients Utilize effective presentation and facilitation skills for identified content including creative training techniques and adult/accelerated learning techniques using a variety of training delivery modalities to include both a live and a virtual classroom training Responsible for on-going classroom observations of direct reports, providing guidance, mentoring, and support that focuses on performance improvement Monitor and ensure completion of daily training administrative work such as tracking of student data, timekeeping, and other administrative tasks as required in a timely and accurate manner Responsible for the deployment of successful transition processes ensuring competency levels meet business needs Responsible for day-to-day functional supervision of learners within the program training and/or other curriculum delivered through a variety of classroom environments, including attendance and student progress monitoring for the duration of training, providing coaching and developmental feedback and readiness recommendations. Maintain all certifications for all assigned courses May be responsible for certifying trainers to deliver identified content Strict adherence to the Convergys code of conduct Leading and/or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, as applicable including identifying and communicating areas for curriculum development/enhancement opportunities Drive and monitor for high levels of professionalism in and out of the classroom Demonstrate effective, consistent communication with managers, peers, and other business and resource units including active participation in client activities as requested Responsible for on-boarding and providing initial training for new trainers Accountable for achieving individual and organizational training performance metrics Manage utilization of staff across accounts and programs to reduce cost of training activities Responsible for selecting, training, developing, and managing performance of training staff; providing prompt and objective coaching and counseling; and coordinating, planning, and assigning work Maintain accurate measurement and reporting of all assigned training metrics Perform regularly scheduled assessment of classroom/facilitation skills of direct reports Accountable for ensuring that training department staff has adequate tools, techniques and methods to deploy best in class support to operations Provide focus for staff on financial impacts and need to deliver efficient and effective training and facilitation solutions to support profitability and client satisfaction goals Plan, organize, and schedule work to meet rigid project deadlines Analyze data and ascertain needs, link training and design to performance and operational processes Other duties as required by business needs Education Professional Certifications: Bachelor s degree in related field from a four-year college or university with four to six years related experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience Other certifications as defined for the position Candidate Profile: Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, and Excel Prior experience in customer service or contact center environment Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively utilizing presentation, facilitation, verbal, and written skills Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team Knowledge of general Convergys operating policies and procedures Ability to work a flexible schedule Travel required Environment, Physical Other Requirements:
