Manager – Transaction Support recruitment

•  The key objective of this team is to provide support for structured transactions and debt issuance involving GCT or STG.

•  To gain an overview of structured deals, and assist in building a strategy to book transactions by the most efficient means.

•  The role requires a combination of accounting and systems expertise combined with a transaction/commercial perspective.

•  A strength of character to challenge existing ways of working and identification of solutions is required

 Accountabilities:

•  Forming effective working relationship with STG and GCT deal teams, working in partnership with them and others required to execute the transactions

•  Provide practical support and systems knowledge required to design booking strategy

•  Input into deal summaries and deal approval documents

•  Checking deals or journals booked against documented deal summaries

•  Manage book codes and other customer static data requirements

•  Good communication and team work with other GCT and STG Middle Office teams

•  Post execution review of deal bookings

•  Input into project such as transfer of GCT business onto Summit 383

•  Assist with administration and governance of GCT transaction approval process

•  Ensuring Day 1 PL of transaction is correctly recorded in Oracle

 

Key attributes:

•  Part/full professional qualification or aptitude to achieve one

•  Middle office, back office or finance experience

•  Preferably familiar with Summit systems

•  Willingness to take FSA financial regulation exams

•  Good communicator

•  Good Excel skills, ability to understand complex models and implement good control framework for financials

•  Focus on controls and process
