Manager, Transfer Pricing recruitment
The Financial Management Group (FMG) provides financial, tax and treasury services to all areas of Macquarie. The Transfer Pricing (TP) team is looking for a Manager to join their New York office. This role will be part of a pool of specialist global transfer pricing team members with staff in Sydney, New York and London, working closely with Group Tax and the Tax Reporting team. It offers diverse exposure to transfer pricing issues working on new transactions and businesses across the Group.
In this role, the person will work closely with the executives from the Business Units at both junior and senior levels Briefing external tax advisors in order to obtain written advice and opinions and providing Transfer Pricing advice in relation to all cross border dealings of the Macquarie Group involving the Americas Region. This will include:
- Liaising with the business areas in relation to various transfer pricing issues that arise daily with a particular focus on the Americas region.
- Oversight and involvement in preparation of transfer pricing documentation including assistance with preparation of functional analysis and benchmarking for the various businesses in key jurisdictions in the Americas region.
- Consideration of transfer pricing issues relating to new transactions.
- Communication and liaison with other TP team members and the Business Unit Advisory team on new transactions involving cross border dealings.
- General transfer pricing research including analysis of recent cases, legislation and government announcements, especially in relation to investment banking activities.
- Liaising with external advisors where appropriate.
- Assistance with responding to revenue authority queries where required in audit and review situations.
- Assisting in the review and preparation of the international related party disclosures in the income tax returns for the US tax returns.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a tax environment within a Chartered accounting practice, or similar experience in the tax division of a corporation.
- A university degree in economics, commerce, accounting and/or law.
- Previous exposure to transfer pricing issues in the banking and finance industry is preferred.
