Manager, US Risk Online Channel
The Online Channel is one of TD's key distribution channels. The Online Channel has a global mandate and an enterprise-wide strategy for the online channels across TD Bank Group TDBG . The aim of the channel is to deliver an exceptional, seamless and effortless experience for customers and clients who manage their finances online.
Job Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Online Channel Risk Office, this position will be responsible for ensuring line of sight on the US risk environment and understanding existing and pending legislation that the regulatory regime has contemplated for the Online Banking environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for deep interaction with key North American business partners to ensure alignment and compliance to internal/external risk policies and reported on for Senior Management.
* Accountable for understanding the regulated environment for Online Banking, and determining implications to the delivery of new channel initiatives to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
* Actively engage partners including Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Operational Risk, Regulatory Risk, Fraud, Intellectual Property Office, Technology Security to understand risk policies and collaborate, identify and evolve cross business and cross channel solutions for the Online Channel
* Act as Risk SME on new channel initiatives to ensure the application of a risk lens in conjunction with internal stakeholders to mitigate, avoid or transfer exposure to an acceptable extent
* Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Online Channel capabilities and emerging compliance issues, ensuring proactive management and adequate support.
* Execute against pre-determined timelines to deliver expected deliverables
* Perform in-depth analysis to assist in the development of business requirements for product delivery initiatives, identifying key risks and implications
* Understand and comply with broader risk organizational policies, regulatory and compliance requirements
* Ensure US Online Risk Channel processes are documented and in place to satisfy audit/compliance requirements
¿ Execute corporate governance protocol escalate negative customer / employee impacting regulatory requirements and champion their elimination or improvement
* Work with key internal stakeholders Compliance, Privacy, Regulatory and Operational Risk etc. to ensure compliance on pending legislation and awareness of issues as a result of the change in order to determine channel impact to close gaps.
* Build, maintain and foster strong relationships with key corporate officers or representatives relative to Online Channels regulatory risk management requirements.
* Provide enterprise and BU project SME for Online Channel Tier 1, 2, 3 Projects
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of regulated environment is critical
* Strategic thinker and able to view issues/matters from a different perspective
* Considered a subject matter expert within key internal areas in order to have institutional knowledge and accelerate relationships with business partners, auditors and / or regulators
* Oversees / executes and / or performs tasks from end to end
* Provides day to day interaction and support to Management
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills, has an eye for detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines, manage priorities and multi-task
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to allow for effective communication with senior management and other business partners
* Strong relationship skills to work collaboratively with other departments and at all levels
* Independent and self-motivated ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
* Adaptable to changing priorities and ad hoc requests
* Post-secondary education required
